De sporters kunnen tekstberichten, foto's en straks videofilmpjes publiceren. De drie populairste webloggers naderen elk al de honderdduizend pageviews op de site, die in februari in stilte werd gelanceerd.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“We zijn met topsporters begonnen omdat we hen een aparte plek willen geven op de site," vertelt Eric Groeneweg van BlogMySport, die samen met Jaco van Bodegom de site opzette. De twee kennen elkaar van de tennisbaan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Inmiddels telt de dienst &lt;a href="http://www.blogmysport.com/history_jaar.php" target="_blank"&gt;meer dan tachtig weblogs&lt;/a&gt;. Ook amateursporters kunnen een internetdagboek starten. BlogMySport wil geld verdienen met sponsoring en advertenties. Telefoonfabrikant SonyEriccson is een van de eerste sponsors van de site. Het bedrijf heeft de meest actieve topsporters op de site een gratis mobiele telefoon met ingebouwde webblogfunctionaliteit gegeven. Wereldwijde advocaturen vragen namelijk steeds vaker de records op in dit soort werelden.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Merk en reputatie schade&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;Je loopt als bedrijf een te groot exposure risico in deze ongecontroleerde wereld. Op zich prima, want daar kunnen wij ze bij helpen. Sommige bedrijven lijken zich er zelfs voor te willen afschermen en zeggen dat ze er niets mee te maken willen hebben. WEB2.0 en sociale communities kun je helaas (?!) niet meer terzijde schuiven. Het is een onomkeerbaar fenomeen geworden.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;De &lt;a href="http://www.postbank.nl/vgn/images/portal/cit_762/19/52/713392338De_kracht_van_internet.html"&gt;Postbank&lt;/a&gt; (de kracht van het internet) snapt dat als geen ander en opent een &lt;a href="http://www.habbo.nl/"&gt;Bizznizz lounge in het Habbo Hotel&lt;/a&gt;. Naast een Chill Out room hebben ze een dansvloer ingericht waar de kleine poppetjes elkaar kunnen ontmoeten. De ING-dochter ziet Habbo Hotel als een nieuw medium om met zijn jonge doelgroep in contact te komen. Het bedrijf wordt ertoe gedwongen anders over jongerenmarketing te denken. De TU Delft wil de Drijvende Stad van Deltasync inzetten als virtuele campus. Dankzij een importscript van de TU Delft kunnen nu technisch getekende objecten in &lt;a href="http://www.secondlife.com/"&gt;Second Life &lt;/a&gt;worden geïmporteerd. Op dit moment wordt nog gewerkt aan importeerroutines voor andere pakketten zoals 3D-Max en AutoCAD.&lt;br /&gt;Ook wordt onderzocht hoe textures kunnen worden geïmporteerd. Het gedrag van een object is niet mee te importeren. Dat zal alsnog in Second Life moeten worden geprogrammeerd.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In de virtuele wereld Second Life kunnen objecten worden opgebouwd uit zogenaamde prims (kubussen, cylinders et cetera). Ook is het mogelijk om met behulp van een zogenaamde ‘offline builder' onderdelen te importeren vanuit CAD-programma's (computer aided design) zoals Autodesk Maya en 3DStudio. Deze tool kan echter geen complexe of bestaande modellen omzetten.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bart Roeffen, een van de leden van de TU Delft Second Life werkgroep, heeft nu een importeerfunctie geschreven waarmee dat wel mogelijk is. Vanuit Maya kan elk technisch getekend object, zoals een gebouw of een auto, worden overgezet naar Second Life.De TU Delft heeft in het voorjaar van 2007 in Second Life twee eilanden gekocht. Deze worden op dit moment ingericht. Het is de bedoeling dat deze eilanden bij de opening van het collegejaar in september worden opengesteld voor het publiek. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;De eerste uitdaging die de TU Delft daarin heeft overwonnen is het bouwen op water. In Second Life kun je eilanden kopen en daarop gebouwen neerzetten. De TU Delft wil de Drijvende Stad van Deltasync inzetten als virtuele campus. Dat blijkt uit onderzoek door MarketResponse naar de houding van 505 Nederlanders ten aanzien van online communities. Van de ondervraagden is 67% niet nieuwsgierig naar de adverteerders en 37% heeft geen positieve indruk van de adverteerders. (Nasdaq: FORR). &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;However, the survey of more than 7,000 online consumers across the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, and Sweden found that consumers in those countries are adopting Social Computing at differing rates. The result is a unique Social Computing profile for each nation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;“To profit from a diverse social media scene, interactive marketers should use country profiles as guidelines to fix social media priorities,” said Forrester Research senior analyst Mary Beth Kemp. “Interactive marketers devising their European Social Computing strategies can capitalize on these differences by concentrating specific Social Computing activities in those countries where consumers practice them the most.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Highlights from the report include:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Reading peer reviews is the No. 1 Social Computing activity, with nearly one-third of European online consumers taking part in that activity. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Consumers in the UK and Sweden are embracing social networking sites, while users in Germany and France are far less impressed. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;More than one-third of UK consumers take part in social networking sites, double the European average. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Nine percent of all Europeans maintain blogs or publish Web pages. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;The Dutch are the most prolific, with 15 percent of users in the Netherlands taking part in this activity. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;The Spanish actively comment on Web sites, while Germans are, by and large, reluctant to offer their opinions online. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;“There are many reasons for the differing behavior in Social Computing,” said Kemp. “Countries are at different stages of Internet adoption: only 40 percent of Spanish consumers and 44 percent of Italians are online regularly.
